THE GOLDEN BOYS - "I Smell Gold" CDEP
This is another thing I came across a while back but hadn't had time to really check out until putting this issue together.
On their latest The Golden Boys offer up a quick serving of classic garage rock built on short sharp hooks, tasty occasional
organ, and a back to the roots attitude that calls to mind both the Nuggets era bands of the 60s and some of the late 70s
pub rock element of "new wave." High energy and to the point, these songs pull no punches with a knack for melodies
and a vibe that's classic and still enjoyable. Yes, I wish I could've gotten to this EP sooner but at least I got to it so
better late than never. (BOONE)
