MOSES - "The Conquest Night" CD
picked this up when I saw them at Lemp a few months
back but hadn't had the chance to really listen to this until recently. The latest from Brendan Massei and company is
a lowkey yet infectious blend of indie rock oomph and minimalist roots music
that uses sparse arrangements to create songs that draw you into a depiction of
the human experience that's honest and moody but with a totality that has shone
through Viking Moses' music in all its various permutations. It's an interesting sonic ride that manages
to move you through the overall journey.
It won;t be everyone's cup of sake but if you have diverse tastes in
music you may want ot check this out.
