I came across this band when I had some free downloads and was curious about some stuff I hadn’t heard before.  This Alabama based quintet offer up a handful of songs that lie between modern melodic pop punk (though some would even call it “emo”) uptempo rockers and ballads with acoustic guitar and keyboards playing a prominent role.  These seem to be personal song (even love songs, maybe) though there are some spiritual leanings in some of the lyrics that subtly pop up at points.  While these guys are talented, they also seem a little too mired in their influences at this moment (though, in all fairness, that could be just the typical issue for young musicians regardless) that, while they seem to do relatively well with it, also finds them slightly in the territory of not making their own mark on the subgenre.  While I know fans of modern pop punk and emo may likely enjoy this, I am curious of what this band can become down the road.  (BOONE)
