REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY -
“Destroy All Evidence” CD
I’d
been listening to a song or two off this for a while but was always too
distracted for various reasons to really listen to the whole thing until
recently. The latest from Report
Suspicious Activity finds them moving forward at light speed and taking their
often aggressive riff driven in your face approach to HC with ‘em. The riff and
bass heavy anthems are here but
along the way the band throws in melodic punk songs and an acoustic guitar
appears on several tracks. All of this
helps produce catchy, moving sons detailing the war machine, torture,
corruption, and other benchmarks that have basically got this country screwed,
blued, and tattooed over the past eight or so years. While there is a fair amount of
anger here
(and rightfully so, I have to say), the album’s willingness to comment on that
cost of the so-called “War on terror” explores the basic range of emotions
here. The overall music here is powerful
and energetic, creating one of late 2008’s best album. Get this and go online
to find the bonus
track. Proof that punk rock is still
vital, rebellious, and necessary now more than ever. (BOONE)
