Sometimes you come across a recording that you have to check out due to curiosity; this was one of those instances.  The A side of this single is a catchy, breezy neo garage rock stomper built on a tight beat, catchy organ riff, and Spencer’s enthusiastic vocals fusing this with an up-tempo energy that is a definite pick me up.  “Great Salt Lake” is a more minimalist indie rock number stripped down to a bass line and some minor percussion for the most part.  While the two songs seem to be worlds apart, Spencer’s delivery and backing L’Horchidee  D’Hawai makes this single a somewhat diverse rock platter that people should check out.  (BOONE)
