THE ATLANTIC MANOR - "On the Wrong Side of a Saturday Night" CD
This is one of those instances
where I come across a disc to check out that seems to have fallen ijnto the dreaded backlog limbo and nearly forgotten until
we come across it while trying to find something else. The Atlantic Manor lay down a collection of moody indie metts
folk rock infused with hints of jazz and experimental sounds filtered in. Their songs have an almost ambient vibe that's
easygoing yet seems to have a melancholy bubbling under the surface. In the process these tales of quasi personal anguish
can both subtly lure in the listener but at several points twist into darker tales of loss and survival. This CD won't
be everyone's cup of sake but readers who have a craving for something a little different will find something to like about
