SOS - "Adult Situations" CD
This came our way a little while back and we'd been meaning to get to
it but we were unable to get to it until now due to the usual reasons. SOS throws down a modernized version of vintage
hard rock/metal with punk and alt rock influences throughout their music. Sonically built on overdriven guitars and
hooks that take on rock swagger with plenty of power chords and tight beats to move things along, the songs chronicle life
and sometimes loss that touches on people in prison, sex, death, and the end of relationships amongst other topics.
SOS does seem to wear their influences on their sleeve a bit but the attitude of the music took me by surprise. I wasn't
sure what to expect when I put this on but this turned out to be a pleasant surprise. (BOONE)
