Over the last year this band has begun to carve their little space within the music scene so when the EP came out I knew I had to check it out.  Their debut EP is a collection of catchy pop rockers that mesh power pop hook addiction with a touch of heartland rock edge woven in.  Dual guitar driven melodies and a powerful sense of melody are in full force with the six songs here as they take you by surprise and refuse to let up.  Malone's debut is one of those discs that draws a personal connection and, while the influences are on the sleeve at times, creates something that skirts cliché and can snare power pop fans as well as those who remember late 80s alt rock (Replacements et al).  I wonder where this band will go from here.  (BOONE)
