I heard some murmurs through the grapevine that this could be interesting to check out.  So when I came across a copy I decided to check it out and make up my own mind.  The  latest from Deerhunter is medium tempo guitar fueled indie rock fueled by acoustic guitar, layered arrangements and an introspection at times that draws in a range of elements from psychedelia to folk and back.  Deceptively low key, the music guides the listener along until the last track takes you by surprise in a shocking (yet cohesive) way.  Deerhunter have created an EP that fits neatly within some of the current indie flavors of the moment but adds their own spin to them.  Consider me pleasantly surprised.
