REJOUISSANCE – “Moss
on Monuments” CD
This
came our way a little while back and
took a while to make it out of our backlog pile until this issue was being put
together. This is acoustic guitar driven
rock where hints of folk meet punk, indie, and psychedelic music to create
medium fast songs delivered with a blend of angst and power with passionate
vocals. There is a feeling here that’s
personal yet somewhat angst based as the songs go for the throat and refused to
let up. It may not totally be
reinventing the wheel but Rejouissance have created a catchy as hell disc that
has a familiar feel to it (and could even appeal to some more mainstream alt
rock fans) has something that keeps things moving forward throughout. Definitely
check this out if you’re interested. (BOONE)
