I’d heard a couple songs from this band in the past (though hadn’t gotten around to buying the album yet) so when I learned of this EP I decided to take the chance and download it.  With one song from Now We Can See, an unreleased song and a couple demo versions, this EP is melodic punk cum indie rock with tasty guitar fueled hooks leading the way to melodies that stick in your head and refuses to leave.  Catchy as hell, these tracks create a vibe that proudly brings the gray area between indie rock, punk, and power pop ravers to light and finds common ground (something increasingly difficult to do these days).  While the EP’s exclusivity may put some people off (the download is only available from itunes, though the two demo tracks appeared on a split 7” with Thao last year for Record Store Day), this sampler carries off the legacy the band has created with ease.  Note to self: I need to check this band out live when they come around these parts.  (BOONE)
