I was curious about this band when I was looking for things online so I decided to download this and give them a listen.  As We Let Go’s EP throws down super short blasts of HC with a definite leaning towards the metal/crossover end of things.  Blast beats and grinding, buzzsaw guitar is in full force for these five songs that seem to take on a combative against the world approach (at least that’s how I heard it).  Sonically it seems to draw from early 90s East Coast hardcore as an influence with hints of metal elements laced within the less than ten minutes this platter takes up.  While As We Let Go’s music may seem to be a little more in a cut and dried HC vein, this Japanese band comes off like a grenade to the face and creates music that fans of metalcore and similar subgenres may find interesting.  (BOONE)
