THE DESTRUCTORS – “999 (The Nein Nein Nein EP)” CDEP

      Yes!  After what seems to be way too long I finally got a chance to sit down and really listen to this disc.  The latest from the band formerly known as Destructors 666 (they’ve returned to their original name) is a theme record focusing on the police.  Musically it’s high-octane punk/HC full of short in your face songs with aggressive guitars and a strong stance critical of the status quo throughout the record.  With a mix of original songs and covers of tracks by Dead Kennedys, D.O.A. and Girlschool, the disc takes on different aspects on the topic and its role today.  Raw and angry, this band shows here what punk and HC is about when done right.  These guys once again prove why punk rock should matter to people.  Get this.  (BOONE)
