PIERCED ARROWS – “Descending Shadows”
LPI’d
been waiting for this album since I saw Pierced Arrows play the Academy
of Rock show at Hickman High the day of the
TTWN 17th anniversary issue release. On
their new album, they offer up more of the hard driving ragged garage leaning
rock n roll that’s been their bread and butter.
Ragged sounding guitar is drizzled over hard-edged hooks and tight but
intense songs for this collection of rock n roll battle cries. Drawing from four
decades of rock history,
Pierced Arrows have again created a rock album that puts a new spin on
underground rock while respecting their roots.
This album calls to mind an era when performances were recorded and
studio trickery was far from prominent.
One of the best rock n roll album I’ve heard in a long time. (BOONE)
