SEXUAL SUICIDE – “Old School Rules” EPThis
is another record that came our way a while ago that I couldn’t get to because
of too many other things I had to deal with (short term stress, deaths of
relatives, etc) until now. Sexual
Suicide lay down short fast blasts of vintage HC with loud guitars, fast
rhythms, and an in your face attitude.
With this as their tools, they sing of paranoia, Internet porn, old
school punk, having sex with MJ (yes, the character from Spiderman) and yuppies
(in no particular order). This EP (on
gray kind of marble vinyl, no less) deals out a style of punk highly influenced
by the type they champion in the title track with a snide delivery, harsh yet
somewhat melodic vocals and a ton of attitude.
I know it won’t be everyone’s cup of sake but Sexual Suicide has put out
a record that fans of early HC will probably have some appreciation for. (BOONE)
