FDA - “Fuck It” CDEP This band first
came to our attention a while back so we decided to check them out and see what they were about. FDA blaze out loud,
fast HC punk with buzzsaw power chords, and short loud fast songs. Lyrically these guys lean towards the more nihilistic
and antisocial vibe of things as expressed in growled gruff vocals and chanted choruses regarding punk, not giving in, and
the like. Sonically these guys take on a rough an dquick quality that emphasizes their rough around the edges nature.
This is, in fact, FDA’s saving grace as the band captures the straight ahead rough nature of what punk was often
about back in the day. These guys are raw as hell and proud to be so. While not everyone’s 40 boy of malt
liquor, fans of raw and rough punk should at least check FDA out and make up their own minds. (BOONE)
