I heard about this while searching around online and was curios about what Glass Rifle sounded like.  “Foebic” is a semi dissonant rocker fueled by sonic extremes and edgy guitar sounds that help create a vibe similar to Fugazi.  “Cutters,” the flips die, is a more melodic piece with a driving melody over a simmering beat that carries the song throughout.  Both songs distill modern punk’s angrier side on both sound and pure vitriol into a single that’s both rough yet somehow familiar.  I admit I didn’t know much about this band when a chance to hear this came our way but find myself definitely interested in hearing more from them down the road.  Check it out.  (BOONE)
