THE
DESTRUCTORS – “From Dead Heat to White Heat” CD
I was going through some backlog recently and came across
this disc; after realizing I haven’t reviewed it yet I knew I had to rectify
that. This disc from the veteran English
punk band offer up another blast of short aggressive songs that combine heavy
as hell guitars with medium fast to fast beats and a lot of piss and vinegar in
their delivery. Songwise they cover a
variety of topics from demolition derby to the cost of war to communication
problems vis a vis the Internet, etc.
This time around the sound is infused with a slight amount of modern
sheen within the power chord throw downs.
Readers of TTWN know how we feel about this band but we have to say that
this is a band that you probably should check out, if you haven’t done so
already. (BOONE)
