ERASE ERRATA – “Damaged”/”Ouija Boarding”
One of the more interesting evens in
the past year of so is the return of Erase Errata to the underground music
scene after a long hiatus. Thus, the
moment we learned of this single we knew that we had to check it out. “Damaged”
is a moody danceable track where a simmering midtempo groove meets a blend of
catch rock hooks and ethereal atmospherics to great delight. On the flip side, “Ouija Boarding” is a bass
fueled aural trip that walks a fine line between introspection, dissonance, and
pure groove. Both tracks draw from ‘80s
dance rock but places their spin on the sound.
I’ve been meaning to really get to this for a long time now and I’m
kicking myself for not doing it sooner.
Sorry it took me so long but I know that if you’re interested in catchy
danceable indie rock that proves that a good groove isn’t necessarily exclusive
to what good underground rock is. Get
this, if you haven’t done so already.
