This is one of those things I picked up on impulse and decided
to see what it was all about. Jeremy Jay plays a relatively minimalist form of
indie rock built on basic instrumentation (mostly in the guitar, bass and drum [or drum machine] vein) with stripped down
arrangements throughout. What comes from this are personal songs delivered simply
with a sometimes narrative feel enhanced by the music’s directness. It’s a sometimes moody, sometimes introspective
journey that gives a feeling this might be good music for driving in the rain. Most
(if not all) of these songs aren’t on his album (and the vinyl single only has two songs) making the search for this
CDEP or a download a necessity of sorts. If you dig lo-fi, indie or “love
rock” then you’ll probably will enjoy this. (BOONE)
