BEYOND DESCRIPTION - “Proof of the Truth” CD
Once
in a while something comes along that gobsmacks you and makes you take notice. Beyond Description bust down the sonic
door with a batch of metalcore where walls of scooped tone guitars steamroll over you with full force. Sung in Japanese
(though the booklet has English translations), they throw down hard in these songs about introspection, the system, people
being held back by fear, and how these things intersect within the larger picture. All of this blasts out with a sonic
force that calls to mind both late 80s thrash as well as current metalcore. This
is the type of CD that you don’t hear all that much about these days. Never heard this band before and now I want
to hear more. (BOONE)
