EVENS - “Warble Factor”/”Timothy Wright”
To say this came
under our radar would be an understament. We hadn’t heard a lot about the Evens lately so learning of this meant we
had to check this out. “Warble Factor” is an impassioned simmering rocker fueled by a blend of baritone guitar
and a semi obtuse lyric that hints as personal upheaval but could have something bubbling beneath the surface. The flip side’s
“Timothy Wright” is a moody piece
about doubt, longing and dying where melancholia lures out the listneres
amidst the stark arrangement. If you can’t wait for the new album to come out in a couple months then feel free to nab
