This has been out for a hiwle but I wasn't able to get a copy until recently.  The fourth album from Cabin Sessions (vol.4 remains unreleased for reasons personal to the band) finds the collective laying down a largely acoustic driven batch of songs that ranged from indie pop to folk and blues.  Sometime sintrospective, sometime personal, the songs have an intimate approach to them that somehow survies the fleshed out nature of the arrangements.  the field nature of the recordings adds to the live feel of the group.  Unfortunately, this may be the last disc for Cabin Sessions as several of the eight members are leaving Columbia for other opportunities.  It will be sad but at least we have the music.  (BOONE)
