SWEARIN’
– “What a Dump” cassette EP Picked this up
the last time I had a chance to see them live and had been curious. On this EP
Swearin’ plays short blasts of
poppy punk songs that walk a thin line between gooey harmonies and raw edgy
guitar attack with a raw, to the point, sound quality. Personal and immediate,
there is a raw vibe
throughout these melodic personal tales that can be both introspective and
appeal to larger issues within.
With
bittersweet guitar tones and a fair amount of passion, their music is edgy yet
feels as has a pop charm that almost reminds you of oldies radio within the
strummed chord fury. Direct and to the
point, Swearin’s debut is something you’ll enjoy whether you dig punk, pop, or
90s style alt rock. (BOONE)
