I literally came across this single looking for something completely different and was curious what their new stuff was like.  "Had2Byou" is from their new album and is a breezy piece of indie pop rock with acoustic guitar and gooey harmonies leading the way until a surprise turn at the end fits the song personally.  On the flip side, "Situations/Complications" is a cover of a song by the Dutch band Caesar with a driving bass line that builds to a chorus of warm fuzzy guitars and clear as a bell harmonies.  The single itself finds the band carrying on the alt rock feel that brought them to people's ears a couple decades back (has it really been that damn long?).  While they're not reinveting the sonic wheel, Bettie Serveert has offered up a single of good solid basic poppy rock that their fans will totally dig as they wait for the new album to arrive.  (BOONE)
