THE BLANK TAPES - "Coast to Coast"/"All the Girls In the World" download single
I was looking around
online when I came across this single and out of a sense of curiosity decided to download it. "Coast to Coast" is a
somewhat breezy slab of garage pop built on simple harmonies and a slight bit of unease sonically. The flip side "All
the Girls In the World" is a laconic ballad that's a bit tongue in cheek but has a feel that seems almost molded for what
AM radio was like 40 years ago. Both songs mine a simmering indie pop rock sound that's not going to change music but
has a comfortable feel to them. Had never heard of The Blank tapes before but I wonder how they will evolve sonically
down the road. (BOONE)
