FUCKING DYKE BITCHES - cassette
I picked up this tape when I saw them play Diva Haus a while back and
finally found the time to really listen to it. On their latest, FDB deliver some raw and crude punk that matches corrosive
guitar hooks with rough melodies and songs with a defiantly queer and proud outlook, tackling such things as gender roles,
objectification, and community along the way. Honest as hell, this band draws from queercore and riot grrl to put their
own rough and proud spin on the subgenres. Fairly short but able to pique curiosity, FDB both bring to mind the early
90s founders of queercore while bringing it to a modern sonic attack. I don’t know if the tape is still available
but if they don’t, a download is available. Wonder what’s up ahead for FDB. (BOONE)
