LVL UP - “Extra Worlds” EP
I was basically loitering around on the Interwebs when I decided
to hear some music and heard this EP. LVL UP deliver some melodically noise indie rock on this EP with a lo-fi feel
that calls to mind mid 90s noise rock throughout. Part obtuse, part heart on sleeve, the songs have a personal vibe
that seems familiar yet can head into other areas lyrically. Often taking feedback as an end in itself, these songs
have a driving feel that catches the ear and pushes the song forward. Yes, the band wears their influences on their
sleeves but they chose their roots well and use them to their advantage. Didn’t know what to expect but fans of
melodic noise rock should be interested. (BOONE)
