NEATLY KNOTTED - "I Wanna Get High At A Gay Wedding" download single
Didn't even know about this until I came across it online and decided to give it a listen. Released in the wake of the
Kathryn's Fever Dream cassette EP, Neatly Knotted goes down a more experimental path on these two songs. "Cold Feet"
is an exercise in minimalism, using a vibratoed to extreme guitar loop and a couple of noise sounds to slowly create tension
and a sense of unease. "We Are Gathered Here Today" is a more ambient affair, using a white noise wash at first
and building from there to create imagery of a wedding. with simplicity and a sense of space. Originally recorded as part
of a split cassette with Dig Up Another Coffin to Burn, the two songs capture a mood by doing the unexpected thematically
while carrying on NK’s musical vision. If you can find the split tape, great but if it isn’t available
