VEXX - EP
This had been around for a few months on tape but I hadn't learned about it until I learned of plans for other formats.
Vexx lay down some raw and ready punk rock with fast songs, hard and nasty guitar leads, and a ferocity that drives things
home in full throttle fashion and a rough edge that has no desire for slickness. What emerges here is a sonic alchemy of fast
and hard driving music that carries the rock 'n'roll spirit at its most intense and energetic with heartfelt vocals and all
sonic weapons set to kill. In an age when rock music, even in punk and indie circles, can sometimes seem formulaic, a band
like Vexx is needed to blow out the cobwebs and show people how it's really done. Originally available only on cassette it's
damn good to see this coming out in formats accessible to those people who don't have easy access to tape decks.
