ARNOCORPS - "The Greatest Band of All Time" LP
I know this has been out for a bit but I hadn't had an opportunity to listen to it until recently so it gets reviewed
now for obvious reasons. On their debut full length the self-described "greatest band of all time" unleashes a
batch of medium fast melodic punk with some hardcore overtones. What sets them apart is the band's theme; all of their songs
are odes to action movie hero era Arnold Schwarzenegger (yes, the former Governator of California). Each song appears to
be an ode to one of his movie roles - or at least loosely based on them. Tongue firmly in cheek, the band throws down a mix
of bravado and light facetiousness amidst the fairly tight song hooks and arrangements. Arnocrops aren't reinventing the
wheel by any means but they sound like they'd be a fun live show and obviously don't take themselves all that seriously.
Some of you may have already made up their minds on the band but at least you should give this a listen and make up your own
