WE ARE HEX - "Beach Brigade" LP
I know this has been out for a bit but I hadn't been able to really listen to this until recently due to too many reasons
to name here. On their latest We Are Hex unleash a tense collection of artsy, occasional dissonant art punk where moody vocals
glide over reverb tweaked guitar and almost destroyed low end bass. The results are audio shocks to the system that can be
danceable, offputting, yet always seem to be catchy in their own way. We Are Hex have always gone the road less traveled,
taking a sonic path that's less about popularity than following a muse. This album continues that tradition in unnerving
yet interesting fashion. If you like music that might confront you but always leads you somewhere you didn't expect this
album may pique your interest. (BOONE)
