EARTH OF FOXES - "universe: Demos" CDEP
I learned of Earth Of Foxes when I saw her live @ Diva a couple months back but hadn't had the time to listen to this
until recently. On this EP Earth of Foxes deliver some low key moody singer songwriter art folk. Using just an electric
guitar and Bex's voice (though a human beat boxer does appear in a couple of places) these songs are introspective yet draw
you in as the EP progresses. There's a moodiness here lurking within the warm yet clean guitar tone and the personal lyrics
here that can be slightly shocking but revelatory as she sings of dejection, life struggles, and clarity through the process.
Folky but not quite folk, Earth of Foxes has created a personal disc that should lend itself not just to listening when a
relationship hits a snag but for reflection or just kicking back. (BOONE)
