RVIVR - "Bicker and Breathe" EP
I was looking around online to check what new music was around when I found out RVIVR had a new EP out for awhile, literally
taking me by surprise. Closing out the end of 2014, the Olympia foursome delivers a quick batch of the anthemic melodic punk
that's become the band's trademark. Full of tight rhythm pockets and tasty well arranged layers of overdriven guitar, these
songs seem to be odes to longing, relationship snags, and the ups and downs of love and life. It's a powerful sonic elixir
that mines melodic hooks and punk rage to compress it into a sharpened musical gem. RVIVR has been one of the underground's
standard bearers for moody, energetic punk by taking their influences and doing something new with them. This EP is no exception.
