EMASCULATOR - "Threatening Visibility" cassette EP
I came across this back in July when I saw the band play one of the last ever shows at Diva Haus. This Portland quartet's
debut tape unleashes short fast slabs of noise punk with guitar that borders on pure feedback, bass lines that almost rampage
out the speakers and songs about abuse, misogyny, gender roles, transphobia et al. These songs are sonic weapons that aim
for attack and demands that you pay attention within a roughly 15 minute journey. While slightly more restrained than their
live show, Emasculator's tape pulls no punches. The first edition of the tape is sold out but the music is still available
