AVOID!AVOID - "Low Earth Orbit" download EP
I came across this when I was fooling around online and was curious about some music so I decided to download this and
hear for myself. Avoid!Avoid delivers driving melodic rock on a foundation of solidly moving guitar, eclectic keyboard hooks,
and a sometime drone like delivery that keeps the music going forward that blurs the line between indie rock and krautrock.
The three tracks here seem disarmingly simple but manage to lure the listener in and hint at something bubbling under the
surface as the EP progresses. While a little surprising, this New Zealand band creates something that both fits current indie
rock preferences while not being totally of said preferences. I don't know if there's a CD version of this or not but if
it sounds interesting to you feel free to track this down on the internet and make up your own mind. (BOONE)
