ALICE BAG - LP
Sometimes news of an album surprises you to the point that when you get a chance you know you have to hear it for yourself.
On her solo debut Alice Bag uses punk rock as a jumping off point for a collection of songs that vary from three chord loud
fast rules to vintage AM radio influenced pop to catchy melodic rock and back again. With songs addressing everything from
personal topics such as relationship troubles, and love songs to the larger sphere of things such as domestic violence, rape,
and the effects of GMO seeds amongst others. Sonically it's a diverse ride that draws in a variety of moods and influences
to create an album that's way more than the sum of its parts, surprising the listener in all the best ways. This isn't the
typical punk rock album - and we're all the better for it. Now I must pick my jaw up off the floor. (BOONE)
