FEA - LP
We'd been curious about this album since hearing a few songs last year when they opened for Babes In Toyland but I couldn't
really listen to the full length until now. Fea's debut album throws down straight ahead breezy melodic punk almost overflowing
with driving crunchy guitars and intense lyrics that tackle misogyny, relationship problems, and societal expectations, among
other things. Even when taking the modern leaning production into account, the focus remains on the hooks and keeps the
listener's interest. Fea's music does wear its roots on its sleeves but the energy and passion of the music shines through
these tracks as the album carries on. This has my attention and I'm definitely interested in seeing what lines up ahead for
Fea. Well worth taking a chance on this record. (BOONE)
