PANSY DIVISION - "Blame the Bible"/"Neighbors of the Beast"
2016 is turning out to be a big year for Pansy Division with the band not only turning 25 but offering a couple of new
records for us to check out. "Blame the Bible" is a driving mid-tempo rocker that goes for the jugular as they
take on politicians using their "christian faith" to justify homophobia and anti gay legislation with a catchy hook
and a venomous lyrical attack. The flip side's "Neighbors of the Beast" (a non-album track) is a poppy rock gem
in the vein of early PD as they sing of moving next door to Satan with clean electric guitars taking the idea somewhere unexpected.
These two songs carried on the legacy of Pansy Division and will most likely put a smile on their listeners' faces - I know
there's a smile on mine as a result. It's great to see this band coming back with a bang; now I need to check out the album.
