MR. AND THE MRS. - Bumble-Buzz Bee-Fuzz cassette
I got a hold of a recording of this when I saw the band opening for Gymshorts last month and finally found enough time
to listen to this recently. On their new tape this Paola, KS based duo blast out a rough around the edged blend of garage
rock meets punk built on raw, almost corrosive guitar tones and a rough rhythm that always stays on target in the midst of
the sonic fury. From this rough and ragged sonic brew comes material that blasts out the speakers, walking the fine line
between catchy songwriting and a heavy attack that sounds both serrated and about to cut your head off while maintaining a
catchiness that makes you want to hear more. Drawing from a wide swath of underground music, this duo creates something that
can rip your face off yet still keep the focus on the song. Look forward to seeing the movies they assembled for this album.
