SLEATER-KINNEY - Live in Paris LP
I'd wanted to check this out ever since I heard it was coming out so when I had a chance to finally hear it I jumped on
the opportunity. This album documents Sleater-Kinney's 2015 show in Paris where Corin, Carrie, and Janet delivered a set
of driving underground rock to a crowd that wanted more. From start to finish this blend of new songs and older classics
was chock full of intricate guitar layers, driving beats, and a sound that can be dissonant, confrontational, and catchy (sometimes
in the same song). While Sleater-Kinney fans are already into the album, this does show a good audio glimpse of what the
band's 2015 comeback tour was like. While I'm not sure if this was the whole show or just some highlights, it's still a kickass
live album. Still, if there was more to this show I wish they would've featured it. After all, I think it's safe to say
that S-K fans would've loved for this to be a double live album. Definitely worth checking out, if you haven't purchased
it already. (BOONE)
