JOHN GALBRAITH TRIO - JG3 CD
I was curious when I found out that John Galbraith had a new band so, after seeing them, when I found out they were putting
out a CD I knew I had to hear it. The debut album from the Columbia, MO journeyman guitarist's new project is full of melodic
yet driving power pop infused rock that walks a thin line between crunch and jangle. Overflowing with tasty 6 and 12 string
guitar hooks and a rhythm section that stays on point throughout, these songs tell of life, love, work et al with an ear for
vintage sonic flavors and a sonic approach that can fit alongside both the more melodic of classic rock as well as power pop
or it's sonic cousins, roots rock and, to some degree, indie. Fans of jangly hook laden pop and rock songs will definitely
want to give this disc a listen and see what's up. (BOONE)
