I know I should've gotten to this sooner, especially since I picked this up at their show at Mojo's months ago, but there's
only so much one person can do and I hope this helps make up for that. The debut from this local garage blues duo is trashy
as hell raw blues and R&B/rock often stripped down to just guitar and drums that draw on blues, country, and early rock
n roll influences and rough it up for a sound as greasy as good BBQ and nearly as addictive. Andy and John's music isn't
going to appeal to everyone but the rough and ready nature of their songs has a primal feeling that will draw in those who
get it. Roots and blues fans amongst our readers should definitely check the Hooten Hallers out. (BOONE)
