This is one of those albums that I've wanted to hear ever since I learned it was coming out. On their latest Xiu Xiu continue
their sonic journey that stretches the dynamics between rock, dance, punk and experimental music. Using a variety of sources
from guitars and live percussion to synths and samples, these songs are tales of the personal and the sociopolitical that
examine humanity's darker side to explore the reality around us. Sometimes gentle, sometimes dissonant, Xiu Xiu's music is
often an aural trip through the surreal - this disc is no exception. While this band isn't for everyone those who get what
Xiu Xiu will have their ears opened to a unique experience. It doesn't matter which format you get this in, I think many
of you will really like this album. (BOONE)
