ODOR OF PEARS - "Infinity Land (The Love Song of Jeffery Dahmer)"/"War" download single.
I was curious about what was up with this band when I came across these two downloads. "Infinity Land" is a
moody post death rock track driven by an eerie synth bass hook and ominous whispered vocals as the chaos builds around them.
"War" is an up tempo dance track built on layers of noise and samples from sci-fi and horror films (I think that's
where they're from), creating something in the vein of vintage industrial club tracks in the process. The two songs here
take dance grooves down a darker path than many are used to hearing nowadays calling to mind 80s industrial dance music more
than electroclash or dance pop with their own spin on it. Good to hear new-ish stuff from Odor of Pears again. (BOONE)
