SINKANE - "Color Voice" LP
I was in the process of organizing some of the new music around here at TTWN HQ when I came across this and decided to
put it on and listen. Sinkane's debut is an aural journey that is more along the lines of jazz and improvisational music
than the formulaic indie rock too often around these days. These pieces explore a wide variety of sonic textures from the
ambient to rock et al. Mostly instrumental, the songs meld together seamless as an overall musical piece that lures you in
and takes you along for the ride. I'd been meaning to get to this for a while and am kicking myself for not getting around
to it sooner. This is one of 2008's more interesting releases. (BOONE)
