THE TOY DOLLS - "Treasured Tracks Live" CD
This is a disc that I've been meaning to check out for a long time now but, due to everything that's gone down this year,
haven't been able to until I came across this disc in the backlog pile. As the title suggests, here The Toy Dolls offer up
a batch of songs live in concert, throwing down the gauntlet with their almost trademark mix of straight ahead melodic four
on the floor punk. Simple and direct, their songs are sometimes humorous, sometimes observational, but usually dished out
with some tongue in cheek attitude. While I do have to admit my shock that "Nelly The Elephant" isn't on here,
the Toy Dolls have managed to deliver a disc full of fast yet melodic punk bordering on rock n roll that should keep you amused
if not energized. I wish I would've gotten to this one sooner. (BOONE)
